Scholarships
Scholarships are a major source of funding for UMM students to help supplemental other financial aid. Scholarships are considered gift aid and therefore for not have to be repaid. Scholarships may come from the University, the state, or from private donors.
Scholarships are awarded based a variety of criteria including, but not limited to, things such as academic merit, achievement, alumni affiliation, financial need, or a combination of several factors. Receipt of a scholarship must be included as part of the student’s financial aid award and may, in some cases, result in adjustments to existing aid. Scholarships are considered gift aid and therefore do not have to be repaid.
